Single Sheet Binding: Saturday, January 19; 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
The first one went so well, we are offering it a second time! Learning something new with guest artist, Joel Freeman!
Learn how to bind a book out of single sheets (rather than folios). This exposed-spine structure allows for you to sew together pages of unconventional material -- everything from heavy watercolor paper to cardboard to wood -- and still have a book that opens entirely flat. It's the perfect approach to use in building a robust and multi-surfaced sketch- scrapbook or portfolio. This intermediate class requires some previous bookbinding experience in sewing multiple signatures or handwork experience in other mediums.
In this workshop, you'll learn the techniques for a single sheet binding and leave with a new blank book. Plus, we'll have hot beverages to keep us company.
All materials included in cost.
Minimum 4 students required for this class to make. Refunds will be given if that number is not met. Cancellation refunds will be given to those who provide two weeks notice (so that we have time to fill that position). Please contact us if you have any questions.
