Paste paper has been a part of bookbinding since the Renaissance, where it was used to decorate books and showcase the creativity of the artisans who made them. Today, paste papers are still used by bookbinders to add a personal touch to every creation.
Join us for a creative adventure in Paste Paper making, where you’ll transform ordinary paper into beautiful, one-of-a-kind works of art! Using simple tools and your choice of colors, you'll learn how to create intricate, textured patterns and designs by applying a paste and paint mixture to paper and manipulating it with brushes, combs, and ither simple tools. Whether you're an experienced artist or a beginner, this hands-on workshop is the perfect opportunity to explore your creative side and leave with your own stack of uniquely patterned papers—perfect for bookbinding, collage, gift wrapping, or just admiring. Come get messy, make something beautiful, and have a ton of fun in the process!
We will be using nice, quality paper and each person will leave with 10-20 sheets depending on how fast they work. This workshop is limited to 8 people. Beginners welcome!!!
