Non Adhesive Binding With Paper Tapes

Join guest teacher, Mary Anna Davis Sunday, June 18 from 1-5 pm to learn a fun book structure that uses no adhesive. Don’t forget to include your phone number at checkout so we can contact you with class information! 

In this class you will learn how to create a sturdy book without using book boards or adhesive. Instead of sewing the book onto linen tape, we will use paper that will complement the spine and cover papers of your choice.

All materials will be provided for this session. Finished book dimensions will be 6.25” x 4.75” x  ⅝”.

About the artist: Mary Anna Davis graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an Emphasis in Art Education.  She has been teaching art in Springdale for nine years and regularly teaches bookmaking to her students. Mary Anna has taken book making classes in Rome and also in Telluride at the American Academy of Bookbinding and is always seeking out opportunities to learn new techniques.
